Rainforest Perucica

The starting point is our accommodation in the Sutjeska National Park – Green Villas Tjentište, where we gather, get acquainted with the route plan, and after a brief briefing with our guide and equipment check, we embark on our adventure with our off-road vehicles. The departure is scheduled around 10:00 towards the viewpoint at Dragoš Sedlo, offering a panoramic view of the wider area of Perućica Forest and the Skakavac Waterfall. From the parking area at Dragoš Sedlo, a hundred-meter-long trail will lead us to the viewpoint. Below the viewpoint, a somewhat intimidating but beautiful deep, wooded valley suddenly opens up, almost entirely inaccessible. In the heart of this primal beauty, the Skakavac Waterfall roars, plunging into the abyss from a height of 81 meters. On the other side of the valley, the rocky cliffs of Volujak rise sharply, to the left, the highest peak in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Maglić, rises, and to the right, in the distance, the peaks of Zelengora are visible over the Sutjeska Canyon. A view to remember!!! The view from the viewpoint (Dragoš Sedlo) to Perućica and the Skakavac Waterfall fills a person with satisfaction. This small part of pristine nature, with rich multifunctional biodiversity, is preserved for present and future generations. The altitude of the Dragoš Sedlo viewpoint is 1306 m. Photography and continuation of the journey through the forest towards the center of Perućica, where we stop at one of the most beautiful spots in the forest for a planned snack (launch package), photography, and a short break. Afterward, we continue hiking towards Suha, where transportation awaits us for the return to the villas, with the latest return by 17:00h, concluding your arrangement. The trail is of medium technical difficulty, requiring appropriate clothing and footwear. This day-long excursion does not include an overnight stay at our center in Tjentište.
