Waterfall Skakavac – Jungle Perucica

The visit to the Skakavac waterfall is now available for booking. It is a unique location in the heart of the largest primeval forest in Europe, where the power of nature can be best experienced and felt in comparison to human presence. You are welcome to join us in the most exciting adventure in the Sutjeska National Park. We kindly ask you to be at our center in Tjentište (Green Villas) by 09:00 AM, where a welcome drink awaits you, along with an introduction to our guide. After the introduction and receiving the lunch packages, we will embark on an off-road journey to the Perućica forest. We have 30 minutes of off-road driving ahead of us to reach our first destination for the day - the Dragoš Sedlo viewpoint. The viewpoint offers an incredible panorama of the surrounding mountains (Maglić, Volujak, Zelengora) and a significant part of the Perućica forest, including the Skakavac waterfall. After the viewpoint, we return to the main road and head towards the entrance to the forest itself. As soon as we step into the forest, amazing sights await us: enormous trees over 50 meters tall, lush plant life, and the satisfaction of choosing this arrangement. And this is just the beginning. Our goal for today is the Skakavac waterfall, the jewel of the Perućica forest and probably the most grandiose location in the Sutjeska National Park. The waterfall poses a great challenge for scientific researchers and, increasingly, for tourists and adventurers from all around the world. Few have had the fortune to encounter perhaps the most beautiful waterfall in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The waterfall is over 75 meters high, and with its continuous flow (unlike some others in Bosnia and the Balkans that do not have a constant flow), it is the highest in this region. Lunch and a break, along with essential photo sessions, are planned at the Skakavac waterfall before we continue through the forest back to Tjentište and the main road, where transportation awaits us to return to our center. For this arrangement, appropriate footwear is necessary due to slippery terrain, so plan to wear hiking boots or ankle-high shoes. Previous experience is not required because our guides will be with you the entire time, ensuring there is no fear of anything. The route is suitable for all individuals between 7 and 65 years old. We emphasize that independent entry into the Perućica forest is STRICTLY PROHIBITED, and it is necessary to reserve a guide for the adventure through Perućica.
