The lake, with its heart-shaped form, symbolizes love and will undoubtedly evoke your deepest emotions.
Surrounded by rocks, embraced by the slopes of Maglić, Bioč, and Volujak, it creates the impression that nature is in harmony with everything around it, crafting a fairytale-like view.
The lake is 825 meters long, 715 meters wide, and its circumference is approximately 3000 meters.
Over the shallow western part of the lake, the water is clear and colorless. As the depth increases towards the east, the water takes on a more intense greenish color.
In the summer, the lake is ideal for swimming, so we advise you to bring your swimwear; believe me, this will be an unforgettable adventure.
On the way to the lake, a must-stop is the Dragoš Sedlo viewpoint, offering an incredible view of Europe's largest rainforest – Perućica, and its jewel, the Skakavac waterfall.
A moment where you'll get lost for a while and enjoy the beauty, size, and grace of the largest and richest rainforest in Europe.
Not to mention the photos you will proudly show to your friends and share on social media.
The starting point is our accommodation in the NP Sutjeska (Green Villas Tjentište), where we gather, familiarize ourselves with the route plan, and after a short briefing with our guide and equipment check, we start our adventure with our off-road vehicles.
Transport from Tjentište takes us to the Prijevor mountain plateau – 1668 meters above sea level, which is also one of the most beautiful locations in the Sutjeska National Park.
We want to emphasize that at that moment, you will think, "Is all this possible?"
No matter how hard we try, there are no words to convey the view of the majestic Maglić – the highest peak in Bosnia and Herzegovina (2386 meters) and other mountain ranges in the vicinity.
A short break for photos, we replenish our mountain water (temperature 6 degrees), and we continue on foot towards the lake.
The hike to the lake takes about 1.5 hours at a leisurely pace and is suitable for both professionals and amateur hikers, as well as beginners.
We don't want to describe the part from Prijevor to the lake; let it remain a small secret and an additional factor of positive surprises, of which there are indeed many on this adventure.
We stay at the lake by agreement with the group for 3-4 hours, depending on weather conditions and the group's needs, all subject to agreement.
A meal is provided at the lake (Homemade sandwich, chocolate, water, fruit).
- Prices are in Euros (per person), and payment can be made at our center in Euros or Bosnian Convertible Marks or by bank transfer before arrival. You can also pay with a credit card, in which case the total price is increased by 5%.
- We pay special attention to safety, and therefore, we reserve the right to assess the readiness of participants for specific trips, such as the ascent to Maglic and Perucica Primeval Forest.
- If any participant has health issues, please inform us in advance.
- For vegetarian, vegan, and special dietary requests, please notify us a minimum of 48 hours before arrival, and we will gladly provide you with meals based on your preferences throughout your stay.
- Due to weather conditions, we reserve the right to change the order of the organization of excursions by days.
- All our arrangements can be combined, and activities can be changed 48 hours before arrival.
- For the realization of the presented arrangement at the indicated prices, a minimum of 4 people is required.
- For groups of less than 4 people, a surcharge is applied:
- 100% per person for the selected arrangement (for 2 people)
- 33% per person for the selected arrangement (for 3 people)
- For groups of 6 or more people, we provide a special discount on all our arrangements.
- Special benefits for groups of 10+ people
- The minimum age for most of our arrangements is 6 years.
- Previous experience is not required; the most important thing is to respect your guide’s rules.
- Payment is made after the end of the arrangement in the local currency BAM, in Euros EUR, or by credit card (VISA, MAESTRO, MASTERCARD…). If paying by credit card, the total price is increased by 5% due to international monetary transactions.
If you need a transfer from any part of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Croatia, or Montenegro, we can organize it with prior agreement and additional payment.
