Zelengora lakes – Gornje and Donje Bare

Gathering point is at our villas in the Sutjeska National Park (Green Villas Tjentište), where we acquaint ourselves with the arrangement plan. Following a brief briefing with our guide and equipment check, we embark on our off-road adventure using our terrain vehicles. The journey from Tjentište to Zelengora is exciting and captivating. The path is surrounded by tall tree canopies, and viewpoints await us for the next hour on the way to our first destination, Gornje Bare lake, situated at an altitude of 1515 meters. Everything appears so perfect, with meadows adorned with flowers and medicinal herbs. Each of us will undoubtedly be convinced not to return to the city's daily routine soon. After exploring Gornje Bare lake, our Zelengora adventure continues to our second destination for the day, Donje Bare lake. Following the lake exploration and photography, we descend further to the Borić viewpoint (about a 20-minute walk), offering a panoramic view of the Sutjeska National Park, including the Perućica primeval forest, Maglić mountain, Volujak, Lebršnik, Tjentište, the Valley of Heroes, and the Sutjeska River canyon. We return to Donje Bare lake for lunch (lunch package) around 15:00. Our adventure concludes at Tjentište, where we visit the World War II memorial ossuary and explore the largest open-air pool in Europe. The return to our villas is planned around 19:00, marking the end of your arrangement.
